Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge Photo contest

• Photos must have been taken within the boundaries of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge in public accessible areas.

• Any refuge scene whether wildlife, plants, or scenic landscape are eligible.
• All entries must be submitted in digital format on one disk as a 72 dpi JPEG file, no larger than 11x14 (1008x792 pixels) & no smaller than 8x10 (720x576 pixels). All winning entries will need to be resubmitted in a 300 dpi JPEG format no smaller than 8x10 inches (1500x2100 pixels).
• Color and/or black & white prints may be used but must be scanned in digital form BEFORE submission.
• Photographs will be accepted only from the original photographer who must be the sole author and the owner of the copyright for photos submitted.
• A photographer may submit up to 5 digital images.
• A separate application form must accompany EACH digital image. All files should be supplied on only one (1) disk. Application forms may be copied.
• Limited image modifications are allowed: Watermarks, Signatures, or Copyright Notices should be removed prior to submission; Elements or objects not in original scene should not be added; Images may be cropped or resized as long as aspect ratio is maintained; Add-on lenses, filters, and scopes are permitted without restriction.
• If submission requirements are not followed, the application and images may not be judged.

• Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. However, by submitting an image for entry in this contest, you automatically give Friends of Ridgefield NWR a non-exclusive, non-transferable, irrevocable license without charge to reproduce and display the image in any electronic, optical, physical, or other medium; to modify its size and resolution; and to use your name as the photographer, without notification or compensation.
• Any one photographer may have more than one winning entry. Twelve winning entries for the refuge contest will be selected. All winning entries will be published on the Friends web site, www.RidgefieldFriends.org , as calendar features, posted on the web site’s Wildlife Gallery, and displayed at Pro Photo Supply in-store gallery and online gallery at www.ProPhotoSupply.com.

In addition to the gift cards we would like to print, frame and display all the 12 winners for about a month in one of our in-store galleries as well as our web site.
